The town of Česky Krumlov in the Czech Republic has one of the most outstanding architectural grandeurs of the medieval period. Česky Krumlov offers a rich cultural history that tourists to the town can find very intriguing. If visiting in June, you can be part of the most well known Five-Petalled Rose Festival, which is a three-day celebration where the downtown area is cleared and a medieval ambience created. People are dressed in medieval attire and artisans and craftsman can be seen at work while historical performances and folk theatres take place. Česky Krumlov also offers a variety of outdoor activities, being located in the attractive Vltava Valley flanked by the Šumava Mountains on the south and west and on the north by the Blansko Forest. Adventure loving tourists can enjoy rafting, kayaking, canoeing, besides going for nature walks, hiking and biking.
